Wire Transfers

When you need to get funds transferred promptly a wire transfer can make it happen. A wire transfer is an electronic payment service for transferring funds by wire (for example, through the Federal Reserve Wire Network or the Clearing House Interbank Payments System).

If you are sending a wire transfer you’ll need

  • the name of the bank to which the funds will be going
  • the routing number of that bank
  • the name of the person/company receiving the transfer
  • the account number of that person/company
  • if it is an international wire, the SWIFT code for the bank and the city the bank is in

If you are receiving a wire transfer, you'll need to:

  • provide the sender your name as it appears on your account
  • provide your account number
  • provide the bank’s routing number – 281271137

The fees for wire transfers are:

  • Incoming - No charge
  • Outgoing - $20
  • International - $35
